  • My Top Ten Free Fonts with the best Ampersands


    An ampersand is the figure that is used to represent the word ‘and’, it is widely recognised by this mark; &. The symbol originates from the blending of the letter E and T, from the Latin word ‘et’. As a Graphic Designer I am constantly using the ampersand in my designs. These fonts originate from the 19th century when the circus was becoming a popular form of entertainment. The big top needed advertisement to gain interest in their upcoming shows.     I’ve had such a busy month that I neglected posting for a while, sorry! I had my sister and nephew come to visit for a few days and then a week later, my boyfriend’s parents came to visit.   • My Top Ten Free Handwritten Fonts


    Handwritten fonts are the most useful tool a designer can use in the right project. I design a lot of greetings cards and invitations and I find that this type of font go perfectly when I am creating them. Handwritten fonts are similar to script fonts but usually a lot more freeform and less constrained.  (more…)

    I’ve been working with www.greetingisland.com to come up with modern, bespoke Invitation and Card designs that they let their users customise themselves through their website and print for free at home. It’s been great fun to work with this brilliant company for such a long time now and come up with different designs for all their categories! When I design these invitations and cards I have in mind that they need to be edited by the customer and to leave the relevant space for it. (more…)

  • Diana Tarrè Infographic CV {INFOGRAPHIC}


    I designed this modern Infographic CV / Resume for Diana Tarre of The Lisbonette Translations. I firstly amended Diana’s logo and then followed on the branding for the Infographic from this. I came up with a unique design that reflected Diana’s personality and business branding. (more…)
